From Monzo to Revolut, Neobanks Lag on Stablecoin Rails as Digitap ($TAP) Emerges Best Crypto to Buy 2026

Neobanks have reshaped retail banking in the last decade. Apps like Monzo and Revolut have proved that a slick mobile UX beats high-street branches, and now consumers are happy to hold salaries and savings with digital-only institutions. And this will only accelerate as Gen Z and Millennials become the more dominant demographics.

But while neobanks have improved the UX, they still run almost entirely on legacy rails. Stablecoins are shaking up global payments and opening the door to another financial revolution. Digitap ($TAP), an omni-banking app with a live global money app, is looking like the best pure-play bet on the convergence of neobanks and stablecoin rails, and one of the best cryptos to buy for 2026.

With a live global money app, a Visa card program, and a token explicitly designed to capture value, this crypto presale could become the next neobank to take the world by storm. Revolut is still private but already valued at $75 billion, and Digitap is a project that could one day rival it. And investors can lock in ground-floor access today.

Neobanks Changed Banking, Now Crypto Neobanks are Ready to Do the Same Again

Neobanks solved clear pain points. These digital-only institutions offered intuitive apps, fee transparency, and real-time spending insights that legacy banks still cannot match. Monzo’s instant notifications and budgeting tools, and Revolut’s low-friction FX and cards, quickly captured younger demographics across Europe and beyond.

However, beneath the slick app interface, the underlying infrastructure remains old-world. While this works for domestic spending, for global freelancers billing in multiple currencies, underbanked users sending remittances back home, or businesses dealing across borders, it is not quite good enough.

At the same time, stablecoins have started to eat into global payments, and the total supply has climbed into the hundreds of billions of dollars. These digital dollars move 24/7, across borders, and settle in seconds instead of days. And that’s how crypto neobanks like Digitap plan to leapfrog existing neobanks.

Digitap offers a neobank-grade experience designed from day one to treat stablecoins, fiat, and crypto as first-class citizens inside a single balance. The end result? All the convenience, but now users can move money much faster and send it anywhere they want.

How Digitap Built an Omni-Bank

Digitap’s core proposition is simple: one account, all forms of value. The omni-bank supports more than 20 fiat currencies alongside over 100 crypto assets across multiple chains. All accessible through a neobank-style app downloadable on iOS and Android today.

Under the hood, Digitap runs a multi-rail system with an AI-powered routing engine. When a user sends funds, the system can select between public blockchains or established banking corridors such as SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, or Faster Payments. Payments are optimized for speed and cost, all abstracted away for the end user. And Digitap can leverage stablecoins to provide real-time settlement.

This is massive for remittances and cross-border payments—the largest capital flows globally. The average fee for remittances is still 6.4% of the transaction value, with a settlement time of multiple business days. Digitap’s solution slashes this to less than 1% and the payments land in minutes.

Another great feature is the Visa card program, and crypto natives can now spend their on-chain balances with millions of merchants. Users can swap between fiat and crypto instantly on the app, and as more value comes on-chain, the value of apps that allow seamless swaps between two systems naturally grows.

Digitap’s design perfectly tracks how Gen Z and Millennials already manage their finances, and its combination of UX and better rails is putting this project on the list of best cryptos to buy now because it is anchored in real-world usage. $TAP is already beginning to look like the standout crypto presale for stablecoin and neobank exposure heading into 2026.

$TAP’s Value Capture Tokenomics: The Best Crypto Presale for 2026?

The biggest difference between Digitap and traditional neobanks is how value is captured. Monzo and Revolut route value to private shareholders and, eventually, public equity investors. Digitap routes value to its token holders.

The platform has committed 50% of profits to purchasing $TAP on the open market. 50% will be burnt forever, and the other half will go to users who stake $TAP, unlocking passive income for long-term believers. This means that as the platform grows, the $TAP token will experience greater structural buy pressure.

Digitap clearly believes the days of governance-only tokens are over and is delivering a token more like an equity that pays a dividend. The presale price of $0.0361 looks very undervalued, and the fact that Digitap has raised more than $2.3 million amid bearish market conditions speaks volumes.

This crypto presale effectively offers discounted entry to a revenue-sharing layer of a live global money app that could grow as large as Monzo and Revolut in the coming years.

Why Digitap Leads the Crypto Neobank Race

Neobanks have done an excellent job upgrading finance. But a decade after Revolut’s launch, the next wave of growth is likely to come from projects such as Digitap, which marry the neobank UX with stablecoin rails.

Digitap has enjoyed early presale success because its omni-banking product feels familiar to Monzo or Revolut customers, but offers much higher throughput and enhanced privacy. It targets a massive market for remittances and cross-border flows, and the $TAP token allows investors to become partial owners of this growth story.

Banking tokens are emerging as the most interesting altcoins to buy this year. Digitap’s omni-bank and revenue-sharing design make this crypto presale a fascinating opportunity at the current price, and with the banking bull run about to begin, $TAP could be the standout crypto to buy now before 2026 begins.

Fed Makes First Rate Cut of the Year, Lowers Rates by 25 Bps

Fed Makes First Rate Cut of the Year, Lowers Rates by 25 Bps

The post Fed Makes First Rate Cut of the Year, Lowers Rates by 25 Bps appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The Federal Reserve has made its first Fed rate cut this year following today’s FOMC meeting, lowering interest rates by 25 basis points (bps). This comes in line with expectations, while the crypto market awaits Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s speech for guidance on the committee’s stance moving forward. FOMC Makes First Fed Rate Cut This Year With 25 Bps Cut In a press release, the committee announced that it has decided to lower the target range for the federal funds rate by 25 bps from between 4.25% and 4.5% to 4% and 4.25%. This comes in line with expectations as market participants were pricing in a 25 bps cut, as against a 50 bps cut. This marks the first Fed rate cut this year, with the last cut before this coming last year in December. Notably, the Fed also made the first cut last year in September, although it was a 50 bps cut back then. All Fed officials voted in favor of a 25 bps cut except Stephen Miran, who dissented in favor of a 50 bps cut. This rate cut decision comes amid concerns that the labor market may be softening, with recent U.S. jobs data pointing to a weak labor market. The committee noted in the release that job gains have slowed, and that the unemployment rate has edged up but remains low. They added that inflation has moved up and remains somewhat elevated. Fed Chair Jerome Powell had also already signaled at the Jackson Hole Conference that they were likely to lower interest rates with the downside risk in the labor market rising. The committee reiterated this in the release that downside risks to employment have risen. Before the Fed rate cut decision, experts weighed in on whether the FOMC should make a 25 bps cut or…
