COMP is clearly exhibiting an LH/LL structure in a downtrend, and bearish pressure continues as long as it remains below the $17.25 resistance. An upward BOS or downward CHoCH is expected for a structure change.

Market Structure Overview

COMP’s current market structure reflects a clear downtrend. The price is consolidating at the $16.70 level, following the lower highs (LH) and lower lows (LL) pattern formed recently. This structure stands as a consistent bearish bias indicator across 1D, 3D, and 1W timeframes; a total of 8 strong levels have been identified (1D: 1S/2R, 3D: 1S/1R, 1W: 2S/2R). Supertrend is giving a bearish signal, and short-term momentum is negative as the price remains below EMA20 ($17.85). Although RSI at 37.85 is close to oversold, the bullish histogram visible in MACD indicates a temporary divergence but does not change the structure. Overall, trend continuation dominates; a break of the $14.69 swing low could confirm CHoCH.

Trend Analysis: Uptrend or Downtrend?

Uptrend Signals

A higher highs (HH) and higher lows (HL) structure is required for an uptrend, but this is absent in COMP. The latest price action formed LH/LL with a drop from $19.51 to $14.69. The positive change in the MACD histogram implies a potential bullish divergence ($16.47 daily low), but this alone does not make the structure bullish. A close above EMA20 ($17.85) forming HH would provide the first bullish signal, but it is currently distant at $16.70. In MTF, there are 2 support levels on 1W, but they do not strengthen without testing HH.

Downtrend Risk

The downtrend is confirmed with LH/LL: Latest swing high $17.25 (score 79/100) failed to surpass the previous $19.51 (67/100) (LH). Swing low $14.69 (61/100) is poised to break below the previous low. Supertrend resistance holds at $20.34, with price at -1.48% over 24h in the $16.47-16.99 range. RSI 37.85 supports bearish momentum; a break of $14.69 would confirm LL and open the $8.54 target (score 22). This risk increases with BTC’s downtrend.

Structure Break (BOS) Levels

Structure break (BOS) is the key to trend change. Bearish BOS: Break of $14.69 swing low creates a new LL and extends the downtrend ($8.54 target). Bullish BOS: Close above $17.25 swing high (79/100 score) surpasses LH and forms HL; then $19.51 target. Momentum above $17.85 EMA20 is required for CHoCH. MTF levels: 1D has 2R ($17.25, $19.51), 3D has 1R; breaks define the structure. Currently closer to bearish BOS ($16.70).

Swing Points and Their Importance

Recent Swing Highs

Latest swing high $17.2521 (79/100) is critical resistance; it preserves the downtrend as LH. Previous $19.5103 (67/100) combines with Supertrend $20.34 resistance. These levels should be monitored for BOS: Above $17.25 initiates HH, failure continues LH. Price at $16.70 is 3% below this resistance; retest possible but no strengthening.

Recent Swing Lows

Latest swing low $14.6900 (61/100) is main support; it defines LL. Total 4S across MTF 1D/3D/1W; break of $14.69 brings bearish CHoCH. In bullish scenario, this level becomes HL, supporting retest to $17.25. Currently $16.70 is 12% above; but 24h low $16.47 indicates test nearby.

Bitcoin Correlation

COMP is highly correlated with BTC (altcoin dynamics). BTC at $68,966 (+2.98% 24h) but in downtrend; key supports $68,928/$66,685, resistances $69,553/$71,796. BTC Supertrend bearish; if dominance rises, altcoins get pressured. COMP’s $17.25 BOS should coincide with BTC above $69,553; if BTC drops below $66k, COMP $14.69 break accelerates. BTC movement dominates COMP structure; watch it.

Structural Outlook and Expectations

COMP structure is bearish: LH/LL dominant, below $17.25 resistance. Watch $14.69 for trend continuation; bullish invalidation at $17.25 BOS. MTF consistent, Supertrend/EMA bearish. MACD divergence noteworthy but does not break structure. Details in COMP Spot Analysis and COMP Futures Analysis. Educational note: HH/HL defines bullish, LH/LL bearish; BOS/CHoCH confirms change. Market can change quickly; follow levels. (Word count: ~1050)

UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach

The post UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The UK and US are reportedly preparing to deepen cooperation on digital assets, with Britain looking to copy the Trump administration’s crypto-friendly stance in a bid to boost innovation.  UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed on Tuesday how the two nations could strengthen their coordination on crypto, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.  The discussions also involved representatives from crypto companies, including Coinbase, Circle Internet Group and Ripple, with executives from the Bank of America, Barclays and Citi also attending, according to the report. The agreement was made “last-minute” after crypto advocacy groups urged the UK government on Thursday to adopt a more open stance toward the industry, claiming its cautious approach to the sector has left the country lagging in innovation and policy.  Source: Rachel Reeves Deal to include stablecoins, look to unlock adoption Any deal between the countries is likely to include stablecoins, the Financial Times reported, an area of crypto that US President Donald Trump made a policy priority and in which his family has significant business interests. The Financial Times reported on Monday that UK crypto advocacy groups also slammed the Bank of England’s proposal to limit individual stablecoin holdings to between 10,000 British pounds ($13,650) and 20,000 pounds ($27,300), claiming it would be difficult and expensive to implement. UK banks appear to have slowed adoption too, with around 40% of 2,000 recently surveyed crypto investors saying that their banks had either blocked or delayed a payment to a crypto provider.  Many of these actions have been linked to concerns over volatility, fraud and scams. The UK has made some progress on crypto regulation recently, proposing a framework in May that would see crypto exchanges, dealers, and agents treated similarly to traditional finance firms, with…
