XRP price eyes breakout ahead Bitwise ETF launches

2025/11/20 16:25

XRP price is tightening inside a breakout pattern as traders watch for the impact of today’s Bitwise XRP ETF launch.

Summary

  • XRP trades near $2.13 as price compresses inside a tightening triangle pattern.
  • Bitwise’s XRP ETF set to launch on the NYSE with fee waivers and rising institutional interest.
  • Technical signals show mixed momentum, but a breakout becomes more likely as volatility builds.

XRP traded at $2.13 at press time, slipping 1.1% over the past 24 hours as the crypto market saw mixed sentiment. The asset remains under pressure, down 14% in the last week and 12% over the last 30 days, while still sitting 41% below its July 18 all-time high of $3.65.

Even with the weakness in price, activity is rising. XRP (XRP) recorded $5.57 billion in 24-hour spot volume, a 20% increase that suggests traders are returning to the market ahead of a key catalyst.

CoinGlass data shows derivatives volume up 26% to $8.32 billion, while open interest dipped 1.26% to $3.71 billion. Higher derivatives volume with declining open interest often shows traders closing old positions and preparing for short-term volatility.

Bitwise XRP ETF prepares to go live

The long-awaited Bitwise XRP ETF will officially launch today, Nov. 20, on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker XRP. The spot ETF provides direct exposure to XRP without requiring investors to hold the token, opening the door for traditional institutions, wealth managers, and pension funds that were previously limited by regulatory hurdles.

Bitwise first filed earlier this year, with an expected October debut pushed back by the U.S. government shutdown. The issuer updated its S-1 on Oct. 31, triggering the Securities and Exchange Commission’s 20-day automatic effectiveness window.

The fund carries a 0.34% annual fee, but it is waived for the first month on the first $500 million in assets, a move designed to attract early inflows. Storage is handled by Coinbase Custody, which offers institutional-grade security.

The launch comes after strong demand for similar products. Canary Capital’s XRPC ETF debuted with $58 million in trading volume on its first day. Analysts expect strong demand for the Bitwise fund, creating steady buy pressure on XRP.

Adding to the ETF buzz, Ripple engineers are reportedly exploring native XRP staking for the XRPL, potentially expanding the network’s decentralized finance footprint.

5 to 10% APY is already offered by third-party services like XRP Tundra. Native staking might go live in Q1 2026 alongside impending enterprise upgrades.

XRP price technical analyis

XRP is compressing within a descending-triangle-to-symmetrical-triangle hybrid, defined by lower highs and a steadily rising support line. When price breaks away from the narrowing range, this kind of setup often results in a strong move, especially when a major catalyst lands at the same time.

Momentum signals are mixed. Stochastic and the relative strength index at 38 are in neutral territory, indicating that while selling pressure is lessening, buyers have not yet taken control. The Williams and commodity channel index indicators suggest early oversold conditions.

However, the MACD, momentum, and the full suite of short-to-long-term moving averages are bearish. Every major estimated moving average and simple moving average, from the 10-day through the 200-day, indicates selling pressure.

A clean move above the descending trendline could lift the price toward $2.30 to $2.50, then possibly $2.75 if volume picks up. Failure to hold rising support near $2.05–$2.08 may open a move toward $1.92, where deeper liquidity sits.

Major support at 1.1470 is unlikely to come under threat – UOB Group

The post Major support at 1.1470 is unlikely to come under threat – UOB Group appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Euro (EUR) could test 1.1500 before rebounding; the major support at 1.1470 is unlikely to come under threat. In the longer run, the bias for EUR has shifted to the downside; it is too early to tell if it can reach 1.1470, UOB Group’s FX analysts Quek Ser Leang and Peter Chia note. Might test 1.1500 before rebounding 24-HOUR VIEW: “Two days ago, we expected EUR to ‘test 1.1570’. After EUR subsequently dropped to a low of 1.1570, we highlighted yesterday, when EUR was at 1.1590, that ‘there is a chance for EUR to test 1.1560’. We stated that ‘the major support at 1.1540 is still unlikely to come into view’. Our view of a weaker EUR was correct, but we did not anticipate the sharp decline that easily broke below 1.1540 (low was 1.1517). Although EUR rebounded from the low, the weakness has not stabilised. Today, EUR could test 1.1500 before a more sustained rebound can be expected. The major support at 1.1470 is unlikely to come under threat. Resistance levels are at 1.1555 and 1.1575.” 1-3 WEEKS VIEW: “We highlighted on Tuesday (18 Nov, spot at 1.1590) that EUR ‘is expected to trade in a range between 1.1540 and 1.1640’. Yesterday, EUR dropped sharply and broke below 1.1540. The bias has shifted to the downside, even though it is currently too early to tell whether EUR can reach the early-month low, near 1.1470. Overall, only a breach of 1.1595 (‘strong resistance’ level) would indicate the downward bias has faded.” Source: https://www.fxstreet.com/news/eur-usd-major-support-at-11470-is-unlikely-to-come-under-threat-uob-group-202511200843

Why Bitcoin Hyper’s $28M Presale Has Next 1000x Crypto Potential

Why Bitcoin Hyper’s $28M Presale Has Next 1000x Crypto Potential

What to Know: Bitcoin Hyper aims to turn Bitcoin into a fast, smart-contract-ready Layer 2 using SVM, canonical bridging, and ZK-secured rollups. The $HYPER presale has raised over $28.16M at roughly $0.013305 per token, with strong whale entries and active retail demand. Stakers can lock $HYPER for around 41% APY, with over a billion tokens already committed, aligning early holders with long-term network growth. Price models suggest multi-X potential if the roadmap lands, but competition, delivery risk, and market shocks make $HYPER a high-risk, high-reward bet. Bitcoin is at $92K now, but it doesn’t exactly feel like victory lap season. Price action is choppy, majors are flashing double-digit red, and on-chain data keeps reminding everyone that the original crypto is still slow, expensive, and allergic to smart contracts. Bitcoin processes around seven transactions per second, fees spike whenever activity returns, and most of DeFi, NFTs, and on-chain experimentation still lives on faster networks like Solana. That leaves a strange gap: the most valuable asset in crypto is mostly sidelined from the high-growth side of Web3. That gap is exactly what new Bitcoin Layer-2 projects are trying to close. Among them, Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) has quietly pushed its presale past $28M at ~$0.013305/token, just as the market shifts back from panic to cautious dip-buying. Multiple market roundups now place it in the micro-cap, infrastructure-narrative bucket that speculators scan when they hunt the next 1000x crypto.  Bitcoin Hyper’s pitch is simple but aggressive: turn Bitcoin into a high-throughput, smart-contract-ready Layer 2 while keeping Bitcoin-grade security. Under the hood, that means a Solana-style virtual machine, a canonical bridge for wrapped $BTC, and a rollup design secured with zero-knowledge proofs. Early investors have already staked over a billion $HYPER for yields around 41% APY, and whale buys in the hundreds of thousands of dollars ($500K just 6 days ago) suggest larger players are at least testing the waters. With the presale now past the $28M mark, the obvious question is whether Bitcoin Hyper is just another cycle narrative… or a serious contender for the next breakout Layer-2 play.  Bitcoin Hyper Turns Bitcoin Into A DeFi-Capable Layer 2 At its core, Bitcoin Hyper is a rollup-style Layer-2 built specifically for Bitcoin. Users send $BTC to a monitored address on the main chain; an SVM-based smart contract verifies the deposit and mints an equivalent amount of $BTC on the Hyper network. Once bridged, that wrapped $BTC moves on a high-throughput chain with near-instant finality and sub-cent fees. Instead of forcing Bitcoin itself to run complex logic, Bitcoin Hyper batches transactions off-chain and periodically commits state back to Layer 1 using zero-knowledge proofs. That keeps the heavy security properties where they belong while shifting day-to-day activity to a faster execution layer. In practice, it lets Bitcoin behave like a settlement engine while Bitcoin Hyper handles payments, trading, and app activity. The Solana Virtual Machine is a key part of that design. By leaning on SVM tooling, Bitcoin Hyper lets developers deploy DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, games, and order-book DEXs with a familiar stack. Rust devs who already know Solana don’t need to relearn everything just to build on a Bitcoin-settled rollup. That cuts friction and gives the project a realistic path to a working ecosystem instead of a ghost chain. For anyone who wants exposure tied to Bitcoin and access to DeFi yields, NFT rails, and meme coin experiments, a $BTC-anchored Layer-2 like this is a clean narrative. If that thesis plays out and Bitcoin Hyper actually ships at scale, $HYPER stops being just a meme-wrapped token and starts looking like the core asset of a new Bitcoin DeFi stack. 📚 Read more about what Bitcoin Hyper is planning in our guide. Bitcoin Hyper Breaks $28M, Whales Continue Buying Stacks On the numbers side, $HYPER has already raised over $28M, placing $HYPER firmly in the early micro-cap bracket. The current stage price is $0.013305, up roughly 15% from the initial $0.0115, with fresh funding still flowing in despite broader market volatility. Presale buyers can also stake their tokens for 41% APY now, but this will drop as more people stake tokens. On the upside math, our Bitcoin Hyper price prediction outlines a 2026 high around $0.08625, assuming the roadmap is delivered and liquidity lands on major exchanges. From today’s presale price of $0.013305, that implies roughly a 6.5x to the 2026 high if everything clicks. Longer term, $HYPER could push a 2030 high near $0.253, which would be a 20x-plus move versus early presale levels. 🤑 Here’s how to buy $HYPER before it hits $30M. This is exactly type of asymmetric setup presale hunters look for. A Bitcoin-settled rollup with audited contracts, a live staking program, and more than $28M already committed has a very different risk profile from pure meme plays with no tech. Some analysts are already tagging $HYPER as a potential high-beta proxy on Bitcoin’s evolution, and in a market obsessed with the next 1000x crypto narrative, that combination of real infrastructure and early-stage pricing is why it keeps popping up on watchlists.
