J6 cop appears to cough profanity during Republican's questioning of Jack Smith

Former Washington, D.C. Metro Police Officer Michael Fanone appeared to cough an attack on a Republican member of Congress during the Judiciary Committee hearing with former special counsel Jack Smith on Thursday.

Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) paused his questioning of Smith to tell the MPD and Capitol Police officers who have been forced to step down from their service that it wasn't the fault of President Donald Trump on Jan. 6, rather it was a failure by police leadership.

Fanone, who was dressed in a Dropkick Murphys t-shirt reading "Fighting Nazies since 1996," leaned forward and pretended to cough while also shouting "go f— yourself."

Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) told Fanone to be "in order."

Nehls lost it.

"Last thing, your hand gestures, Mr. Fanone — you need medication," he shamed.

Jordan continued to try and control the members.

Nehls maintained that he and his GOP colleagues were going after the "sham committee" he said that investigated the Jan. 6 select committee.
