Then, look for an electric cargo bike that is specifically designed to carry heavy loads while performing optimally on both smooth roads and uneven terrain. If you don’t know where to find the best cargo e bike, then you are at the right place, as we are going to review one of the top-selling electric cargo bikes in the market. The Addmotor Garootan M-81 cargo electric bike is one of the oldest and best-selling Addmotor electric bicycles, specially designed to meet the cargo needs of users. So, let’s look at the technical specifications, key features, real-life experiences, and pros and cons of the Addmotor M-81 cargo ebike and how it differs from the other electric cargo bikes.

  • 20 mph top speed
  • 400 lbs maximum payload capacity

Key features

Strong Motor Performance

The Addmotor Garootan M-81 electric cargo bicycle is equipped with a powerful 750 Watt rear-mounted electric motor with a peak wattage listed around 900 to 1,000W. This powerful electric motor maintains the stability of the electric bike and allows solid acceleration, even on difficult terrains such as hills, while carrying heavy loads.

Extended Range

The cargo pedal-assist electric bike must have a high-capacity battery to assist the riders in accelerating the e-bike through a decent range while carrying heavy loads. The Addmotor Garootan M-81 electric cargo bike has a high-capacity 20 Ah Samsung lithium-ion battery that provides an extended range of 105+ miles on a single charge on PAS 1. This range is only achievable in ideal conditions but may vary with the amount of load, type of terrain, and the level of pedal assistance.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes

Unlike the other Addmotor cargo electric bikes, the Addmotor Garootan M-81 cargo ebike has hydraulic disc brakes. The hydraulic disc brakes work more efficiently than mechanical disc brakes, especially when the ebike is heavily loaded and requires a safe and efficient braking system. Whether you are riding an electric bicycle down the slope or in traffic, carrying groceries or hauling kids, the hydraulic disc brakes work smoothly and consistently in stopping the ebike without putting any strain on your hand.

Integrated Rear Rack

You may wonder how you would carry heavy loads on an electric bike frame that has limited space. The Addmotor M-81 cargo pedal assist electric bike is designed with an integrated rear rack that provides ample space to carry large amounts of cargo. It provides ample space to accommodate passengers, a child’s seat, groceries, or cargo deliveries.  This Addmotor electric bike has a payload capacity of 400 lbs, so the long rear rack is designed and built with a solid material so that it can withstand heavy loads up to 400 lbs. The rear rack is 25.8 inches long and 6.5 inches wide, which is spacious enough to carry loads up to 400 lbs.

What do users say about the Addmotor Garootan M-81 electric cargo bike?

The Addmotor Garatoon M-81 cargo e-bike has a 4.9 user rating on the website, and we think users really like this electric bike; it has some downsides, too. So let’s look at what people have to say about this ebike.

One of the users who bought the electric bicycle in 2023 just posted a review in 2025 saying,

“I bought my bike in June 2023 so I’ve had it for a few years now and I absolutely love it!!!! I’ve never had any issues with it as far as battery or not keeping charge. It’s been awesome.!!! If I could say one thing though and it’s not bad it’s just since the day I got it my brakes have squeaked and my rotors, I don’t think they’re that great. I’m actually gonna upgrade them. I feel like they’re very thin and flimsy.  I 1000% recommend it and I just purchased the trailer and can’t wait to get that.”

Another one of the oldest users says

“We bought two of these in August 2023 and have loved them!   One box was dented and Addmotor promptly replaced the sacrificial derailleur hanger. Took 5 minutes to replace and everything on both bikes has worked flawlessly.  We have logged 1000 miles on both bikes and have hauled them all over the southeast to biking trails.  If you’re on the fence, do it!!!”

Some people do have issues with the braking pads and rotors of the M-81 cargo ebike. One of the users posted on Reddit saying,

“One of my first tasks for this bike was to replace the disc brake pads. The pads that were provided lasted for less than 200 miles, after which they wore through and damaged the discs. It cost me more than $200 to replace the damaged discs and pads when this happened.”

This is the only problem highlighted by the users, while they absolutely enjoy the other features and components of the Addmotor cargo electric bicycle, especially its powerful electric motor and the high-capacity battery.

“Wow, fun bike! I can’t say enough how awesome it is to carry my 4-and 8-year-old kids both on the back of a bicycle at the same time, and still have it go fast enough with a little motor help to get where we’re going quickly! I’ve been riding a friend’s Smartravel bike for the last 3 months so compared to that (it goes 34mph and is 1200w), it seems just a tad slower, but of course it is! I have to say that I feel like this M-81 has more torque on hills and starts with the throttle than that speedier machine.”

Price and Value

The Addmotor M-81 cargo e-bike originally retails around $2099 but is currently on sale and retails around $1299. So, if you are planning to buy it, now is the best time to do so. Considering the price point, we think that the Addmotor M-81 cargo ebike pedal assist offers a great value for money with its cutting-edge features and components that provide optimum comfort, convenience, and safety to the riders. In this price range you get a powerful electric motor, high-capacity battery, hydraulic disc brakes, wide tires, and other features for daily use such as LCD display, headlights, taillight, and an elongated rear rack to carry heavy cargo up to 400 lbs. it truly gives a tough competition to other high-end and premium brands that offer similar features in double the price.

In Conclusion:

To buy or not to buy can be a tough decision, considering that there are various options available in the market for electric cargo bikes. But if you are a new ebike rider and want to experience sustainability by replacing your car for shorter trips, daily commutes, or carrying real loads, and don’t want to break the bank, then the Addmotor M-81 cargo electric bike for adults can be the best option for you. Curve Finance votes on revenue-sharing model for CRV holders

The post Curve Finance votes on revenue-sharing model for CRV holders appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Curve Finance has proposed a new protocol called Yield Basis that would share revenue directly with CRV holders, marking a shift from one-off incentives to sustainable income. Summary Curve Finance has put forward a revenue-sharing protocol to give CRV holders sustainable income beyond emissions and fees. The plan would mint $60M in crvUSD to seed three Bitcoin liquidity pools (WBTC, cbBTC, tBTC), with 35–65% of revenue distributed to veCRV stakers. The DAO vote runs from up to Sept. 24, with the proposal seen as a major step to strengthen CRV tokenomics after past liquidity and governance challenges. Curve Finance founder Michael Egorov has introduced a proposal to give CRV token holders a more direct way to earn income, launching a system called Yield Basis that aims to turn the governance token into a sustainable, yield-bearing asset.  The proposal has been published on the Curve DAO (CRV) governance forum, with voting open until Sept. 24. A new model for CRV rewards Yield Basis is designed to distribute transparent and consistent returns to CRV holders who lock their tokens for veCRV governance rights. Unlike past incentive programs, which relied heavily on airdrops and emissions, the protocol channels income from Bitcoin-focused liquidity pools directly back to token holders. To start, Curve would mint $60 million worth of crvUSD, its over-collateralized stablecoin, with proceeds allocated across three pools — WBTC, cbBTC, and tBTC — each capped at $10 million. 25% of Yield Basis tokens would be reserved for the Curve ecosystem, and between 35% and 65% of Yield Basis’s revenue would be given to veCRV holders. By emphasizing Bitcoin (BTC) liquidity and offering yields without the short-term loss risks associated with automated market makers, the protocol hopes to draw in professional traders and institutions. Context and potential impact on Curve Finance The proposal comes as Curve continues to modify…
